![]() ![]() SerialPort defines the minimum required functionality for serial communications ports. It seems there are problems when generating SerialPortEvent.DATA_AVAILABLE event. SerialPort describes the low-level interface to a serial communications port made available by the underlying system. *If I comment flush() command after send first message I have no response and my time-out exceeds. ![]() But as my projects have evolved from IDE build through ant to Maven and JDK from 1.1 to 1.8 this was aparent that rxtx is unmaintained. My application send first message correctly but I get an error in response:Īt gnu.io.ndEvent(RXTXPort.java:732)Īt gnu.io.RXTXPort.nativeDrain(Native Method)Īt gnu.io.RXTXPort$SerialOutputStream.flush(RXTXPort. This is an attemp to revive the old but very good rxtx library that allows for using serial ports in Java. But in my program I use serialPort.notifyOnDataAvailable(true) and serialPort.notifyOnOutputEmpty(true)* calls. My program is event based This adapter works correctly using Mincom. The problems come when I use an usb* adapter* FTDI chip-set based () on my lunux system (2.6.24 kernel), where there is no need of driver. Rxtx library works fine on *linux and windows system using serial port. My java application communicates with datalogger via rs232. ![]()
